Behind the Windows: Stardust, Wishes and Magical Gifts1 min read

The unveiling of our Christmas windows is one of our favourite moments of the year. While we work on the theme many months in advance, the Coes display team never cease to surprise us with windows full of wonder and beautiful gift ideas.

This year, we wanted to create windows teaming with stardust, wishes and magical gifts to really capture the enchanting excitement of Christmas. To achieve this, Sonja and the rest of the team created countless stars to adorn our in-store trees, applying paint and glitter individually to each one, and built wooden houses complete with functioning lights. The display also includes a working train set to carry a selection of gifts between the snow topped homes.

We’ve also teamed up with Fred. Olsen Travel Agents to offer a trip of a lifetime to the European Christmas markets to one lucky customer who correctly guesses the amount of blue stars our team have hidden in the windows. You can find full details of the competition in-store. Or, alternatively, you can enter our online competition to win his and hers bags, simply by finding the flashing star hidden somewhere on our online store.

Unveiled on the 12th November, the windows accompany the launch of our biggest ever gift department which is full of unique ideas for Christmas presents from brands such as The Old English Co, Wally and Whiz, Coco Chocolatier and Kreafunk. Which are all available to shop in store and online with free UK delivery over £50.

Back by popular demand, Adnams’ selection of beers, wines, spirits and gifts will be available from the department for a limited time, including their iconic Ghost Ship Mini Casks.

If you’re ready to make a start on your Christmas shopping, there is no better place to be than Coes.
