Papercutter, Emma Daniels, knows a thing or two about creating the perfect gift for loved ones. So, with Christmas round the corner, we thought it was the perfect time to sit down with her and ask, how do you give the perfect gift….?
“Giving the right gift is definitely an art form. It doesn’t matter how much you spend or how flashy the gift is, if it doesn’t suit the receiver then it can be a waste of time and money. A present should be considered, researched and heartfelt. A successful gift is one that brings joy, and can be used or enjoyed during everyday life.
My favourite present to give is a handmade paper cut; I can make it myself so can fill it with personalised touches and use colours and styles I know they will love. If someone can see that the gift has taken time and some thoughtful effort, either to make or choose, it will be cherished all the more.”
So you can make your own paper cut, Emma holds fantastic workshops at Baker and Barista (our womenswear buyers are already papercutting obsessed)! See below for the details of all the papercutting workshops Emma is holding before xmas – and don’t forget to show us your creations if you go!
