Word From Fred: All About Australia3 min read

This month we are focusing on Australia, it is now the time of year to book up for Australia 2016. We have two Aussie Specialists in our branch, Vicki and Susanne who have both travelled around Australia and have had some amazing experiences and between them have visited many parts of Australia including Sydney, Brisbane, The Gold Coast, Cairns, Port Douglas, Fraser Island, Hamilton Island, Daintree National Park, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Darwin, Ayers Rock and Tasmania.

There are over a dozen airlines offering flights from the UK to Australia and most visitors prefer to break up the journey and stop- over on route there is a wide choice of stop over locations such as Singapore, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, LA, Hawaii, French Polynesia (Tahiti), The Cook Islands and Fiji. We are able to arrange this when tailor-making your trip to Australia.

A perfect combination for first time visitors to Australia is a 3 centre trip this is a two week itinerary taking in three of Australia’s most iconic attractions, Sydney Harbour, Uluru (Ayers Rock) and The Great Barrier Reef.

Sydney is definitely on the must see list for any visitor to Australia and even if you have visited before, you will want to return again and again. Enjoy stunning views of the Opera house and Sydney Harbour. Visit the beautiful Botanical Gardens, the Rocks and Darling Harbour. See Bondi Beach, catch the ferry to Manly or indulge in dining alfresco at one of the many outstanding restaurants & cafes.

Ayers Rock is one of Australia’s most prominent icons. Join a guided walk around the base of the rock, learn more about the aboriginal culture and view the ancient rock art and dine under the stars at the award winning Sounds of Silence restaurant.

Port Douglas has a great vibe and is a hub of activity whether you prefer to relax by the pool or beach or head into the Rainforest. A day trip out to the Great Barrier Reef is a must and a day tour to the little village of Kurunda on the world famous Scenic railway then
Return by Skyrail Cableway spanning 7.5kms along the top of the pristine rainforest. See the rainforest from a completely different perspective, before relaxing for the final few days of your holiday.
